My Story

I am a U.S. Air Force veteran from a small town in Southeast USA, with roots in Great Plains USA, and currently living near the Gulf. I have been with my lovely wife for over twenty-five years, and we are the proud parents of three young men. Between being a husband, a dad, and professional responsibilities, I engage in cycling avidly, stretch often, journal frequently, and practice devotions, prayers, and reflection patiently.

Clinical Supervision Approach & Style

My approach to clinical supervision includes a variety of modalities and approaches, such as supportive, solution-focused, intergenerational, strategic, structural, and process models of therapy, to name a few. My clinical supervision style is anchored by narrative approaches that include, but are not limited to, understanding your story, being invited into your world, identifying your goals, and walking alongside you on your journey.

Clinical Experience

I have spent over 20 years working in the mental health industry in different roles and nearly 20 years as a clinician. I have provided mental health services across many industries and sectors at local, state, and federal levels, from private practice to not-for-profit to larger hospital networks. These settings range from community mental health, rural mental health, individual practice, group practice, small clinics, large agencies, and multilayered conglomerated hospital settings. I have and continue to work with clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, PTSD, grief, communication problems, conflict management, and atypical life stressors.
